Anyone actually understand the Audi lineup nowadays...?

OK, thanks for understanding Dan, I'll amend / delete the related posts

Having dropped a few clangers relating to the 'written word' in my time, I try and use the criteria that if the person was stood next to me, what would I say, If my family and friends read about my actions in a newspaper, what would they think.
I try and apply these rules to the A2oc in the hope that it will continue to remain a better place to be, where discussions are subjective, friendly and swearword free.
In general the A2oc is one of the best in this respect, we lead by example and most newcomers follow that example. Lets keep it that way.

End of sermon

Cheers Spike

A3 Saloon eh - that actually does look nice. More coherent than the A4 and not as bloated as the rest of the range. Do VW make an equivalent Golf-saloon (used to be called a Bora I think?)?

I was eyeing up a 5-door A1 the other day too, again I was starting to think I quite liked it!

I too find myself uninspired by almost the entire Audi range. I was always an Audi fanatic until my late 20s when I developed a penchant for the faster end of the Volvo spectrum. Maybe I'm getting old but I prefer what they are pumping out in terms of design and the dealers are less arrogant and unhelpful (in my local area).

If I had to choose one it would be a TT TDi quattro or a TTRS but not a lot else. In honesty, if/when my trusty Volvo T5 gives up I think I fancy a BMW 335d Tourer. I drove a 530d and it was immense fun with decent economy but just a tad too bulky for my liking. BMW are starting to make 3 series with xDrive and that would be the one for me but not with the base 320 as at present.

If Audi ever did bring out a new A2 type car, which they might but it will never be the trailblazer the first one was, I'd maybe be tempted.

Well there's the Jetta but I don't know whether that's still going to be made in MK7 guise? Apparently the latest Haldex systems are proper quattros as well. Could be a rather nice car. Apparently it's the size of the Audi 80 - sounds quite appealing...

The Volvo will probably never break! 330d/335d are immensely fast though.
