Anyone come across this before, vent with hole in the middle

Been watching this for a few weeks and pondering what gauge I could pop in?

Thanks Ami. That is certainly a new one on me.

As for a use?

Nothing wrong with the digital clock in the instrument panel.
 
Or even an Analogue clock guys in there as there is a digital one in the dash ?
 
Be useful to have oil temperature or boost pressure, you can get digital gauges with multiple reading to scroll through too. Or for me a voltmeter would be nice
