Anyone recommend garage at Cardiff for cambelt change

Hi all.

Got to get the high tension belt and roller replaced (it's already well overdue @70,000, X reg).

My first quote at cardiff audi has been quite steep - £400

Does anyone know of a good garage in cardiff that can do it cheaper than this?
 
Have you called NG Motors in Splott - 029 20461661. My A2 was in their 2 weeks ago for a new cambelt, waterpump, thermostat & temp. sender. I'd prefer not to say how much as I know the owners, but I've used them for 17 years & have always been pleased with their work.
 
Or there is the Welsh VW Specialists on Sully Moor Road between Barry and Sully. I use them quite often and they are good and reasonably priced.

Recently bought my A2 - 1.4 petrol, 01 with 40k. Got cam belt done (kit inc water pump) - cost me £307 all in. That's a local garage in SA9 tho. Just thought I'd give you estimate on price.
 
Some main dealers will do a deal for cam belts.

Just had mine done at Stafford Audi £275 + £80 for water pump. Compared to my local main dealers this is a good price, excellent service from them and the work is Audi guaranteed.

Taking an A2 apart is not a straightforward job and would prefer someone to work on it that knows what they are doing.

Overall happy with this price - essential to get water pump done at the same time if you plan on keeping the car - as I do.
