There’s an opportunity here As 70 series Landcruisers and rarer early hilux make serious money here ...so put two a2s in a 40 ft container and bring back a couple of old toyotas ?..I’m also on the hilux forum and more than one person has shipped one back over ..Anybody looked into shipping prices to Australia yet?
Apparently there were 2 A2s in New Zealand - or there were a few years ago - but they were both in Auckland so never saw them as I lived in South Island then. Would have thought that getting parts would be difficult in Aus and NZ.I knew there were probably a sum total of 4 A2,s in Australia but it's the first time I've seen a red one.
There's a Noggy Blue Mk1 TT in NZ too.Apparently there were 2 A2s in New Zealand - or there were a few years ago - but they were both in Auckland so never saw them as I lived in South Island then. Would have thought that getting parts would be difficult in Aus and NZ.
It's a bit the same in NZ - all cars are imported - a lot secondhand from Japan - and so they have to last a long time.problem is the Aussies think that they are sitting on a pot of gold for any car and will ask ridiculous money for anything even if its a pile of rust ...
but NZ gets its first taste of all the tasty imports from japan like S1 legacy RSRA and the likeIt's a bit the same in NZ - all cars are imported - a lot secondhand from Japan - and so they have to last a long time.
