Hello all
In the endless battle to get the power steering working on my pesky a2 tdi I am trying to look beyond all the parts I have swapped / tested in the hunt to resolve.
It looks like I have a gearbox in my car that was originally not from an a2. When trying to locate the speed sensor I found what looks like an attachment at the rear where I believe the sensor should be that looks like it's designed for a mechanical cable connection. The question I have is that should it have an electronic sensor? The other a2 tdi we have does but it's a 2001 car where as mine is 2003. The speedo all works and I can't find any "spare " loom that would connect to said connector.
If anyone knows it will be a big help even if discounts this. I suspect it may be the problem as might be why the steering is always heavy?
