I've had an issue for the last week of the battery being drained whilst the car is parked. Replaced the battery as the old one was beyond saving and within a day it was flat again and the car hadn't been used . Today, I've managed to diagnose that the source of the current drain was from the factory sat nav unit in the boot. I removed the fuse (no.37) and bingo the battery is fine. Was feeling quite pleased with myself however another issue has arisen. With that fuse removed it keeps displaying on the DIS - phone and then the radio station. It therefore doesn't allow the radio to work . I have a RNSE unit and factory bluetooth module which have been fitted for over a year now with no issues. I have tried disconnecting the bluetooth module but it has made no difference. The radio circuit is fuse no.2 so shouldn't be affected by the fuse that I have removed. With the RNSE unit switched off it randomly still plays music for a second or so and then cuts off again and displays phone on the DIS. Replacing the fuse and everything works fine but it starts to drain the battery quickly when car is not running. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks.
