Morning All,

Apologies for anyone who was tracking this thread and after purchasing A2OC Bespoke Number Plate Surrounds. Work and family events away from home have kept me away from the forum for a few weeks, but I am back. This is still a venture I am keen to see through to the very end.

Whilst I have been away I have had contact from Helmut-Seitz and they are now offering us a 10% discount which helps as the price went up by 19% with their VAT. As we don't currently have a registered VAT Number we cannot avoid this 19% increase so the 10% discount is vert welcome.

I'll start a new thread this morning showing the invoice from Helmut-Seitz and start to take orders to see how close we are to selling the 100 pairs which is the minimum order..

More details to follow in a separate thread.

Thanks for waiting.

Kind regards,

Tom

Evening All,

As interest has generated on this tread in the Club Bespoke Number Plate Surrounds I have decided not to start a separate thread, Gary (JIGSAW) apologies for the hijack.

So here I am with confirmed costings for the number plate surrounds delivered to mainland UK addresses.

The price did recently been increase by 19% as Helmut-Seitz had to add VAT as we don't have a Club VAT Number. As I have been pretty busy and not contacted them for a few weeks they have tried to re-establish contact with me and offered a 10% discount which is a total saving of £97.20, perfect!

This is the design that I am going to order should I reach the minimum order of 100 pairs, some of you will know this as my option 2:

There is a little detail missing, mainly the Audi logo on the service flap and the wheel spokes. I have printed these out and stuck them on my car and I must say they do look good.

Here is a copy of the invoice just so you know this is a non profit venture and even I will have to pay to have these on my car:

The EUR 56.00 delivery is to me in Coalville, I will package them up and distribute them individually to you when they arrive. Addresses will be coordinated over PM to save personal data being on the forum.

Here is the total converted by ExchangeRate.com this evening. I'm sure it will change slightly by the time I have interest in all 100 pairs:

The total £957.30 will be split over the 100 pairs simply being £9.58 per pair delivered to me...Postage below.

Approximate postage has been worked out by taking 3 number plates to my local Post Office, 3 as this should cover the weight of 2 surrounds. The cost is £4.50 which will include me packaging them up and sending to you. Each additional pair will be an extra £1.50. This has been worked out for UK mainland postcodes. If anyone wishes to have them sent to a non mainland postcode or outside of the UK it will certainly be more and I will have to get a separate quote for you. Again this will be done over PM.

The table inserted below is the interest already shown (by date) who stated that they would like to purchase these bespoke number plate surrounds, please let me know if you're no longer interested and I'll remove your name.

When I get interest near the 100 pair minimum order mark I will contact those on the list via PM to see if you're still wishing to purchase and send you my PayPal address to make payment as a friend/family so I am not out of pocket.

Please feel free to ask any questions here or by PM

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Tom , no worries on the hijack as you put it , i originally found there was not enough interest to take this any further but glad to see this may finally get somewhere, you can put me down for 3 sets , Really liking your final design and respect for all your hard work

Regards Gary

Thank you Gary,

I really hope the interest meets the minimum order of 100 pairs.

Your request for 3 pairs has been added to the list:

Thanks Tom. Now to find some yellow dome screws...

Hi,

There should be no need for any dome screws as your number plate will fit inside the surround. They will be secured into the surrounds by closing the bottom clip of the surround. If you have existing holes in your number plates then the dome screws might be an easy fix to cover them, they are available from Halfords for £2.09:

I have a similar problem but think I'll treat the A2 to a new pair of number plates, just not sure if I'm going to get them from Audi to look OEM or go for pressed metal, decision decisions!

Evening All,

I have interest in 30 pairs so far as per the list above. Only 70 pairs to go before I can submit the order.

Fingers crossed we'll get there.

Kind regards,

Tom

I might get some new plates then rather than have holey examples.

Pressed metal? Hope it's pressed aluminium!
