I think Black Beauty is dying.
Over the last few days I’ve been having problems with pre-ignition knock and she’s also now using a litre of coolant every 35 miles or so.
I suppose this moment was inevitable, but I had hoped it would have been a couple of years down the line.
In summary the FSI can make very good power by fitting a turbo (I’d estimate it at around 150hp) It can make a nippy car a damn quick one, but at a cost.
Moral of the story, enjoy the A2 for what it is, yes improve on what Audi created but don’t try to make it something it’s not.
Luckily I have Dune 2 to keep me mobile and in an A2. (Hang on, I think that one breaks the above rule too ?).
