Hi Timmus, just returned from a night rescue operation where my son had been stranded due to an alternator giving up.Hi Joga,
Are you able to send me the software from your existing cluster?
Cheers,
Tom
Seeing it will allow me to determine its compatibility with other hardware.but humbly curious what you would like it for?
Thanks for the info, Joga. Some more background:
This is about the SHE car, a 2001 1.4 petrol, VIN WAUZZZ8ZZ1N03570x (last digit masked).
It is its current cluster which has the slightly defect display, see first post.
Old (current) cluster : 8Z0 920 900 with at least a trailing X (from my memory) No FIS.
New cluster: 8Z0 920 901 No FIS. Retrieved from a car in a breakers yard. I dont have the engine ecu from that car.
Yes, thanks alot Tom for investigating and concluding that the EEPROM content from my current cluster was not directly useable in the new cluster, but can be modified to work.A solution to this has been sent by PM.
All the best,
Tom
