Bonnet false alarm

You should notice it straight away. It's in the centre about 3 inches to the left of the dipstick when you open up the flap.

If you look at this post you will see Colin540 has some nice clear photos of behind the service hatch. The alarm button is the round circle to the lower left of the catch mechanism.

Sorry if above isn't quickest way of linking to other posts.
What I did on my car was super glued a couple of pennies together then superglued them onto the striker plate for the button, as I did not want to adjust the catch mechanism as just got the hatch to lock and unlock nicely. Or you could remove the switch from the engine bay and tape it in the closed position, at least that way you can secure the flap closed. There has been instances of owners having the bonnet stolen for scrap!!!!
