boot sign on the dash board is constantly on even when the boot is properly shut

Hi,

The open boot sign is on when I turn the ignition, I have tried to close the boot, and it is indeed properly closed, but the sign stays on the dash. Any help and suggestion will be great please.

Hi my diagnosis is that the boot latch microswitch has failed, this would need a new boot latch fitting as i believe the switch is not replaceable. cheers mikee
 
Hmm im not sure of the price---stab in the dark £85. Im sure someone else can give a better idea.
 
I replaced the actuator and boot latch on my car not three months ago. Total price for the lot was £45+VAT.
