Hi,I'm pleased you have found that thread. If you've ordered the same pipe as I did it will be quite an easy job.I would check your egr too,if there is oil coming from breather holes then best to replace while your there.Otherwise connect the pipes but the charge pipe will need to be modified to correct the angle caused by the additional pipe.I just flashed off the "wings" and once in the correct position I put a couple of self tapping screws in.Its been fine since I did the job and a lot more confidence in the Bosch pump tooThanks I’ve ordered a pipe that extends the valve as shown in the thread
Thanks I haven’t received the pipe yet but what modifications did you have to do to the new pipe ?Hi,I'm pleased you have found that thread. If you've ordered the same pipe as I did it will be quite an easy job.I would check your egr too,if there is oil coming from breather holes then best to replace while your there.Otherwise connect the pipes but the charge pipe will need to be modified to correct the angle caused by the additional pipe.I just flashed off the "wings" and once in the correct position I put a couple of self tapping screws in.Its been fine since I did the job and a lot more confidence in the Bosch pump too
If the pipe is the same as the one from the egr to the flap motor it will bolt straight on.The flap motor will bolt on too but will have a clockwise rotation. This means the rubber charge pipe will twist and deform if you don't modify it.All I did was remove the two "wings" that the spring clip holds the pipe into the flap motor.Once these were off I offered up the pipe in a new position and secured with a couple of self tap screws.I think I posted pics of the job once finishedThanks I haven’t received the pipe yet but what modifications did you have to do to the new pipe ?
