Brake light failure on dis

I intermittently had the brake light failure come up on the dis. It turned out the drivers side rear brake light did not work so I replaced the bilb with an led one and its all working fine.
However the brake warning light now comes on every time I apply the brakes and the bulb light comes on as well.
Anything else I can try before replacing the brake switch?
 
You will also find cruise control don't work with led bulbs. Not sure if you have cruise though. It uses the resistance in the circuit as a test and the LEDs limit that test. Cheers Mike
