Just booked the Brooklands hotel next to the museum for the Saturday night via Secret Escapes. It is Β£125 for the night including a buffet breakfast and get this a cream tea for two and a glass of Prosecco each. πŸ˜ƒ
Thats a fab deal! Well spotted 😊

Well then, since this will likely be my only chance to participate in an A2OC event this year, I'm in, I hope. :)

Premier Inn Woking A424 is booked for two nights, just need to see what Irish Ferries is gonna make of my Calais-Dover-Calais booking that apparently wasn't compatible with my credit card or something.

I've got 3 days in the UK thanks to the Ferry Super-Short-Stay deal. Anyone got any recommendations for some interesting bits near Brooklands on the Saturday, excluding the bit that my Diesel apparently isn't allowed in anymore?

Thorpe Park and LegoLand are not far if you have kids in tow.
RHS Wisley for the gardener in you
Painshill is a lovely park to walk in
Windsor Castle is not far
Or you maybe able to book to go round the McLaren technology centre

Alright, ferry booking is now confirmed as well (somehow) so should be good to go in that regard.

Out of the list of suggestions (thank you) I suppose it would be McLaren > Windsor and with McLaren unfortunately not bookable, it might well be WIndsor, or possibly something closer to Oxford. Will see depending on M25 traffic on the day.
MB World, at least from the website, seems pretty empty so not sure about that one.

@Teresa I hope the club signup went through fine? Thanks for making this happen.

You could spend all day in Windsor Seb. Its worth booking a trip around the Castle and a short walk down the hill brings you to the boat rides on The Thames and the picturesque town of Eton.

Hi Seb. Yes all submitted. That gives us access to a club stand. You will need to book an entry ticket either in advance, or on the day. The link should be in the main post.
Hope you have a safe trip

Why not leave the A2 at the hotel and head into central London. Trains from Woking to London Waterloo run extremely frequently and you can be up into town in around 30 minutes. Alternatively I recommend Hampton Court Palace for the historic interest, beautiful gardens and riverside walks. Again it’s very reachable by train if you change at Subiton. Or park this side of the bridge to avoid the ULEZ zone if you have a diesel. You can also take a boat from Hampton Court to Kingston, which has some lovely shops, riverside bars and restaurants.

Good morning all,

What are the current plans for meeting up to convoy in?
Hi, we are going to meet at the Tesco Brooklands carpark on Barnes Wallis Drive Brooklands KT13 0XF to convoy in.
I'm just waiting to hear from Beooklands in terms of what time clubs can access the site and will then confirm time. Club reg closed Sunday night so should hear this week I suspect 🫰

Please can we decide if we're meeting somewhere to convoy down to the Premier Inn - preferably outside ULEZ for those of us with diesel A2s!
I'm coming in the early afternoon from Lincolnshire...

Booked my [public entry] ticket πŸ˜€

I'll see a few of you at Tesco Brooklands carpark for the convoy in on Sunday.
Public entry to Brooklands is from 10am.

@Teresa any news on when club entry is allowed? Alas, I'm strictly just with the general public, but dependent on club entry times I may just sit at the back of the convoy and smile nicely πŸ˜€ if that doesn't work I can have a scenic drive as a bonus.

See you there!

Hi, you don't need a special ticket to join the club stand and I booked a couple of extra spots in case anyone wasn't able to confirm by the registration date.
I've not had details of what time we are allowed in yet, so I'll ring them tomorrow to check and then post details 😊
