Brooklands Motor Museum German Day - Sunday 1st October

Hi everyone, just had confirmation from Brooklands, that clubs displaying should arrive around 9am.

It is 5 minutes from the Tesco car park we were planning to meet in so I would suggest we go for the following to convoy into the show

8.45 am - Meet in the car park at Tesco Brooklands -Barnes Wallis Drive, Weybridge, KT13 0XF
9.00 am - Head off to convoy in to Brooklands

As this is our first time at this event, I'm not exactly sure how it will work for anyone arriving separately, but normally the staff onsite will direct you to our stand.

Also, for folk staying over Saturday night, I have booked a table at the Beefeater, next to the Premier Inn Woking West at 6.45pm I've arranged it for 6 people based on the folk I know are staying over (Me, @Gary Woolston, Mr&Mrs @Audimad @Sheila & @Seb_Gurkyh ), but if anyone else would like to join us, please do drop me a message.

Looking through old dashcam footage, I've even been to that Tesco already.
Interesting views with more Brooklands oval banking on the outside of it..

May I please have someone doing the roundabouts between Woking & Brooklands with me

Unfortunately, I can't say for sure if I'll be able to make the dinner at 6:45pm with my somewhat unknown itinerary for the day, so if anyone else is in the area, feel free to take my place and I might join you later - will try to give word on the day if I remember.
With trains into London prohibitively expensive, unless something goes wrong earlier on the route, I'll probably spend the day somewhere near Windsor then go via the Harry Potter house to Woking in the evening or whenever I'm done with Windsor.


Do we expect them to sell out of tickets by the way? I'd kind of rather spend the 2 pounds in online fees on the museum not the ticket salespeople...


Will there be any black A2s with us? Could roll in as a pseudo-German flag for German day?

Thanks for organising the meal T. It will be lovely to see everyone and catch up. Barry2 will be fresh out of the sprayshop so his front valance and rear wheel arches will be freed from the previous owner's parking scrapes!
Are there any plans to drive some of the journey down in convoy? I'll be leaving Lincolnshire between 11.30am and 12.30pm...
I need to avoid ULEZ as Barry2 is £12.50 a day! (Barry, being a 1.4 petrol, will be living in ULEZ as he's been sold to an enthusiastic guy in Essex)

Right - just had an e-mail from the events team at Brooklands and actually they do issue windscreen passes. They have sent me the PDF so i will print copies and bring with me, but if you aren't able to meet up with us at the Tesco on the morning, please let me know and I will PM you the PDF so you can print at home and bring with you.

If you are joining separately, we are based in the are called "Strat Apron" I'm hoping this will be clear on the day, but suspect that it is somewhere near the Barnes Wells Stratosphere Chamber

Weather it looking good for the day so it should be a great event

Suspect they might park us just behind the large building with the cut-away section showing an aircraft within the Barnes Wells Stratosphere Chamber. Drive past the Clubhouse and garden of memories on your left and turn towards Concorde with the main aircraft hangers opposite.

Just packed the Shop into my FSI ready for Sunday If anyone wants any stickers, badges or number plate surrounds, all items are at their regular prices except without postage charges, which is great value especially in the latter case. I can take cash (possibly subject to the correct change) or PayPal, I've even had a bank transfer at a social before now

Having had a spa morning with my pals, Gary and I are now on our way. Eta at.the Premier Inn is 18.20 so fingers crossed we don't get delayed

I arrived at the Premier Inn at 2.50p.m. Room was available at 3.05p.m. Lots of parking, nice big room and the Beefeater looks great...
Lots of traffic on the M1 and M25. Bits of 60mph, 50mph and 40mph. Some crawling but Barry2 was happy all the way.
