Sam now is the time to say to Steve those little words “I think I like it as it was” then retreat back indoors. Lol

Don’t seal the roof when it goes back in Steve, that way it can be swapped easily.

I can send you the sealing tape if you would like, it’s only sticky on one side and will allow you to take the roof out again. You will still need a small bead of mastic on the rear but that shouldn’t stop the roof coming out.
I can send you the tape FOC if you wish? I have loads of it.
 
Great work Steve in such a short space of time, I hope it goes back together just as quick can’t wait to see the finished results.

I've got a donar roof to go back into it but there's obviously no guarantee it will last so being able to remove at a later date would be a good idea.
That's really good of you mate and would be greatfully received. Please at least let me pay for the postage!

It will take a little longer to go back together because we'll be dealing with fresh paint :-/

Hi all,

The neew wheels arrived yesterday so ordered Audi centre caps to make them look a bit more factory standard. I was going to order the “A1 5 stud star” centre caps, but couldn’t find one that I knew would fit

Ordered the new head unit last night, just got to hope and pray we can make it fit!

Still just a pile of boxes at the moment though and no pictures of the paint progress yet... the suspense is driving us mad lol!

Ps, once the respray and new windscreen is paid for, that’s the budget burned.... to the nearest pound!
All future mods will be far more gradual lol.
