Bumper removal, hard?

Following on from Havanks parking sensor advice, I would like to remove the bumper and use the markings provided by Audi.

Is the bumper hard to remove on the A2?

thanks all

To remove the bumper, you'll ideally have a pair of axel stands and a jack, although you can obviously use the standard A2 jack.

Firstly, remove the plastic trim between the aluminium load strip and the boot rubber to access the screws in there.

You need to remove both rear wheels, then the wheel arch liners to access the 3 screws that hold the bumper on from the inside.

Then remove the screws on the outside, under part and away it comes.

From memory, all screws are torx T25 or T27, so you'll need a Torx driver.

Cheers,

Mike

I have axle stands a trolley jack and torx, not sure the right torx though - so I should be ok.

Thanks for the pointers. Will def go aftermarket on the sensors and then use the remove bumper trick, drilling from the inside.

Wise?

it is really not necessary to take the bumper off as it only adds to the workload

but if time is not of the essence then go for it
