Finally had the cambelt and waterpump done yesterday at Awesome GTI..£354 all in,
also had the droplinks done too, not a knock to be heard now.

Isn't it surprising just how much better you feel when jobs like that are done.
And the money for the Cambelt doesn't improve the car at all, it just means you are not going to grenade it when a cam belt breaks.
But you just FEEL better !!!!!

Ye Steve, feel much better now the belt has been done, plus with no front end knocking on every bump or uneven road it makes driving a bit more pleasurable.
