Hi. I have recently burnt some CDs for use in the car and when I went to put one in this evening, it said "Error 1" on the screen and ejected the CD.

I have a Symphony II.

When I did a search, someone else had written that on a changer with the A2, if they try to select a CD-R it will not work but if you let the changer choose the CD in question it works fine.

Does this strike a chord with anyone? If the CD is rejected and spat back out, I can't let it choose the disc in question in order.

Hmmmm.

Error 1 normally refers to a laser error in the player. Try loading with a number of original discs and see if the problem persists. If not, then change your brand of recordable.

If the problem does persist, then in the first instance, try cleaning your lens, with a commercially available lens cleaning disc. If you are still covered by a warranty, get it down to a dealer asap for an exchange unit.
