Chrome Gauge Rings Kit

I've been wondering exactly the same thing about these kits. I'm wondering if the problem will lie with the dial rings in the A2 not actually being flat... I have seen Mr.Skipton dismiss the possiblity when looking back at old threads, but still curious...and hopefull.
 
from that page's screenshot it looks like extra silver 'hoods' are added. Our cars have the 'hoods' already, some of which are not chrome. So I don't think they will fit. FYI, the so called 'aluminum pack' involves aluminum decorated trim parts on the instrument clock, gear stick surround, 4 strips on the 4 door cards, glove box handle and passenger handle bar. They all have differen part numbers.

The rubber peeling is the soft touch coating letting go. This coating is extensively used in VAG cars and proved to be not very robust and will peel after a peroid of use. More so on parts often touched by driver or passenger. I'm looking into getting soft touch paint but it will be hard to match the colour...
