clutch lever noise

hi everyone! does anyone else get a strange rubbing noise coming from under neath the dash when leaving the clutch up while using the throtle. sound s like the top dash is rubbing against the the bottom section surrounding the gear knob. it s driving me mad!!! any idea s . :confused:
 
no not like that, its inside the car. its sounds like plastic rubbing or gridding. think its the dash rubbing against another plastic cover or something.
 
Sounds to me like the cover under the steering wheel has been replaced badly at some point.

It extends from the lighting switch all the way to the bilk head and if badly aligned, can rub on the pedals.

Check this out first before delving deeper.
