Code Reader

Hi All,

Looking to buy a code reader as the eml light has come on on the wife's A2 tonight. I don't think its to serious as it is running ok and starts hot and cold. I have experience using an Elm 327 that has saved me fortunes on my own cars. But it won't read the Audi.

Can any one suggest one they have bought and used. I would not mind one that will reset the service light as well.

you could try a Phone one like torque and buy a Bluetooth reader that goes in the OBD port.
it just depends if you need it straight away.
My one reads and clears codes.
shows the same codes as a snap on reader

I went down this route http://m.gendan.co.uk/product_VAGUSB.html and use VCDS LITE intending to go full version once I got my head around it, I had a member from another audi forum offer full version locally and can pass details if required.
