Sorry done a quick search but cant find.

Dumb question but just changing rear springs to lift rear of car up and putting originals back on. Are the colour dots towards the bottom I assume?

Dont want to put them on upside down :)

The service manual says "– Install spring together with top spring plate (coloured marking on spring must face towards axle)" does the spring have an up arrow on it? The bilstein ones do

No arrow that I can see. Good shout on turning the springs though I'll adhere to this. Issue is I can turn the dots towards the axle no matter what way up the spring is :)

Just had a look at my car with OEM springs and they are both fitted with the dots on the lower side. Hopefully someone else will chime in and say this is correct.

First picture I came across on the club site search.

Nope the tt comps I'd fitted were fouling on the outer edge I assume due to offset being slightly nearer the outside of the car. The springs at the rear were weitec -25mm and to be honest I'd often thought the car dropped at the rear with these. Now fixed and fronts still have the weitec on the front. Car now rides and sits better I reckon.

Sweet!
Reason I ask is when I got mine it was low at the rear, paperwork showed springs were fitted about 40k previous by a specialist however when I removed them they were a good inch smaller than the standard replacements!

Is your front still higher than your rear?
