coilovers

Well, there's already a thread covering this sort of cheap coilover sets made by Jamex, TA-Technix, V-Maxx, Supersport etc

The main problems with these coilovers refer to the low quality components used (seals, surface quality, steel quality). In addition the damping characteristics and spring rates of such low priced coilovers potentially are not adjusted properly to the A2-specific weight distribution (very nose-heavy) resulting in too much comfort losings.

So for car suspension we generally can assert a linear correlation between price tag and quality affecting long term application and ride comfort...

Here you will find more info about quality coilovers (i.e. FK or KW coilover equipped with KONI dampers) for the A2
as well as a very interesting high quality alternative
  • being less expensive than one of the above quoted KW/FK quality coilovers
  • having better comfort reserves than coilovers
  • featuring superior response characteristics due to the BILSTEIN high pressure + single tube technology
  • coming with sporty appearance at minus 50/40 or 50/30 mm

Just save some money - you won't regret it
