Constant "knock" noise from behind my offside Headlight

When I switch my lights on at night there is a constant "knock" or "click sound coming from behind my offside headlight. It is as if some gearing is about to engage and then drops out. At the same time I can see my headlight beam jump slightly.

What is going on here? is there an electric motor behind our headlights?

Any help here would be appreciated.

yes, there is, and it's the one that does the movement up and down. Take the light out and make sure the motor is correctly seated, it twists into place.

Yeah, there's a little motor inside the headlight unit. It's green, if I remember correctly.
It's definitely easiest to take the whole headlight out (two Torx30 bolts + wiring connector), then take the back off the headlight and, as Bret says, twist the motor in/out of place.
