Coolant expansion bottle for Fsi...

Hi, does anyone know if the coolant expansion bottle is still available or if there is another VAG compatible part....???

Getting a hissing noise when I remove the cap and loosing water over 3 days - can’t see a leak anywhere, but dry coolant additive around lip of bottle?

Morning,

The coolant reservoir is still available from Audi. I’ll add the part number shortly.

If the dried additive is around the top then this might be as simple as changing the blue cap. Not an expert on this subject but worth try a different cap as these are readily available from many of the VAG range.

From memory a new reservoir is around £50. A new cap will be around £10.

I can confirm Tom is correct - including price. I had mine replaced a few weeks ago when I had some of the pipes replaced as a precaution.

Part number is 8Z0121407C for the reservoir. Cap is 1J0121321B and O ring is 1H0121687A (if required).
