Hi,

Are any of you a registered member on Copart?

There's a couple of A2's I would like to fix up and put back on the road were they belong.
Simply for my family to use and expand my colection.

Im a member , bidding on the one in wisbeach as it goes ;), youl find its a big ask for someone to bid for you as money involved , i think for a new member its about £50 for a years membership but be warned the costs do add up say for a £400 car youl pay about £500 including there percentage, if your local to the copart your purchasing from its about £50 delivery fee, if you collect yourself they catch you again with a loading fee which i thinks around £20 to bring the car out to the carpark, also be warned they use fork lift trucks to move the vehicles around the yard so they can get extra damage as the drivers dont care from what ive seen, but there still good to buy as a source of parts if the final sale price is low or even to repair if only light damaged and the fork lift driver does not cause more damage..

I will also add keep watching copart site weekly as youl see the same A2s coming back and sometimes a few weeks later with less goddies, options removed...

Btw, what are good websites from breakers to search for parts? (Preferabele where you don't have to do an inquiry for every bolt)

I think the partsbase, vagpart.com which most people normally use for genuine part numbers are offline again or have been for the last few weeks unsure if they will come back as last time this happened they were gone for some time , someone may be able to offer you an alternative, other than the Ebay

Thanks for the insight. The one at Wisbeach yes, black with yellow seats. No big job to repair really. It has Bose, headlight washers, rear electric Windows to say a few.

I wasn't going to ask anyone to bid for me. you replied with exactly what I wanted to know.

Hope you win the bidding a restore to former glory.
