ha, you'll have fun.
One of mine may be bent (I'm not sure) but since that's the last thing on my "potential problem" list, then I'll probably change these, along with the ARB. The ARB is easy to do at the same time as you'll need to drop the front subframe. Making sure it's in the right place afterwards is, I think, the biggest issue.
I'd most definitely get the rubbers front and back changed at the same time and anything else you want to get done - track rod ends, ARB, springs, droplinks - then get it all done as you'll need to get it aligned.
Cars that are pre FSI times have cast arms, after that - June 2003 IIRC - there are pressed steel ones where you can replace the balljoint seperately. The precise details are in ELSA and I don't have a copy to hand.
I'll be changing Consoles, Wishbones, rubbers and probably the ARB at the same time if I can find the parts cheaply enough.
