Crank problem

Hi everyone read other threads prior to posting in attempt to find possible solution but couldn’t find this issue. I have twice in one week experienced no turn over crank when turning key after about twenty minutes being switched off then attempting a restart.
I have dash lights and power and OK on dash but no crank when I turn key. I tried a few start attempts and no crank then after five it cranked weakly but started. I had rev counter work on weak crank. Battery is a few months old only. Earth lead I can see on near side looks fine but haven’t undone to check condition Or the connect under the starter motor.
Any pointers from you wonder people would be helpful. A visit to great mechanic up my way maybe due.

Always suspect the earths first, remove, clean grease and replace before anything else.

Fitting a extra earth lead helps with this from the drivers side engine mount to the belt tensioner

The main one that gets missed is the one underneath the passenger side headlight
