HI all, the cruise control has never worked in my 1.6fsi so I thought it was time to have a look and it was really simple .... it had not been connected to the engine ecu...
when looking on the internet it only seems to show wiring instructions for TDI's not petrols.!!!!
do I wire this the same as it shows in elsawin ??

Hi
it looks like he just needs the connection numbers on the ECU. He already has the kit installed.

Hopefully one of our doecialists we be along shortly and give you the pin numbers.

Have you searched for these via google "A2OC cruise pins" might help you.

For clarity, on an FSi, connections for cruise control.
Harness runs between the stalk and the engine control unit and is wired as follows;

position 49 = blue/black
position 51 = white
position 52 = black/red
position 55 = blue/red

The above wiring colours assume that you have a factory installed cruise system, if not, its unfortunately anyone's guess what colour combination has been used by the fitter.
In that case you may need to open the steering wheel housing to check and wire accordingly. Usual safety precautions apply when disconnecting the airbag!

When you're happy and its coded test all cruise functions on the stalk, we have in the past year replaced two stalks due to faults on the slider switch.
