Dealer changes hands, reneges on servicing agreement

(Have also posted this one in the servicing forum, just in case.)

A verbal agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on, said Sam Goldwyn.

Has anyone had any experience of agreements with dealers not being kept, or any suggestions on how to bring them to heel?

Last October, we bought our A2 from Bristol Audi, run by Damon Hills company.

The salesman, Neil Jones, told us that the first 2 years servicing would be free (the car then was less than a year old.

However, despite being pursued by us, this was never confirmed in writing.

It is now time for the first proper service.

The dealership has changed hands, Neil Jones no longer works there, and it would appear that there are no records to back our claim.

Does anyone have any advice, or comparable experiences?

Thanks

I would put your complaint in writing to this company to record the fact firstly, then a visit to your trading standards.
I think there is a link/info on this site elsewhere, use the search box above and good luck!
