Driveshafts on A2 1.4 tdi

anyone know what tool is needed to remove drive shafts from gearbox please?

It's a spline bit u need to remove the driveshaft from the gearbox think it's a M8 bit but I'm sure someone will let u know if I'm right

and you will need a good quality puller to get the driveshaft out of the hub, Audi use a compound similar to nut lock to glue the drive shaft into the hub and it is near impossible to remove the shaft without an hydraulic puller. I borrowed one from my local garage after I tried with a snapon 3 leg puller and couldn't move it.
If you are removing the driveshafts to remove the gearbox then you can leave the shafts in the hubs as the gearbox will come off with the driveshafts in place
