ECC blowing hot air all the time ?.

My compressor gave up the ghost 2 years ago and had the tell tale spinning clutch which Steve has likely diagnosed.

I bought a used one for 80 quid which is about the going rate - ( and its working fine) but subsequently I'm sure I recall a post suggesting this part was common across the VAG range and you could pick up one from a Polo for a much lower price.

Memory serving it's a valeo part but I may stand corrected. Hope this is of some help.

Maybe one of our search hounds can find the post I'm referring to about the Polo unit.

Truth is I was a bit miffed because I had no recollection of the Polo aircon compressor being compatible with our A2s.
Must get a new stock of kryptonite

Today i have a little free time and successfully repair the g263 sensor. 2 new wires form the contractor to the sensor like in russian site. Now the a2 is ice cold :cool::cool:
