Has anyone taken a look at there engine rubber mounts there only seems to be 2 in total one on the cam belt side of the engine and one above the gearbox.
Now the mount on the cam belt side of the engine is a long flat rubber mounting which has a small/medium ammount of movement especially on startup.
The other mount is located above the gearbox and is cylindrical in shape which also has an ammount of movement now i have noticed that the engine mounts all seem to get rubber shavings or deposits around the mounts more on the flat rubber mount.
Is this normal to get rubber deposits and how long are the engine mounts designed to last since they take alot of vibration from the engine and if you keep getting the fine rubber deposits this means the rubber is wearing away and sooner or later they will need changing.
Just wondered if anyone else had noticed this and had made any enquires or assumptions on them
Let me know if you have any ideas.

Cheers
