Engine Transplant

erstens, thanks for keeping us up to date! Really appreciated! It is great to see it finally drives

It goes 235 real km/h now. At max. rpm because the gearbox needs a higher gear.
Images of the 1,8T. It is painted with a special color:

235km/h sounds awesome! Erstens, did the owner post the final horse power figure and possibly the final weight? Very nice and great effort of the owner, I suppose he did the transplant himself?

I've been think adding a compact rotrex supercharger to the 1.4 petrol, but i don't have the fund as a piggy back ECU + rotrex + mounting + intercooler would run into £3k... (for ~130bhp)

But I'm still interested to see an A2 with 1.4TSI, would be ideal for power, economy and emission.

"intended to stay under 200PS", no info yet, probably +100kg or so (wheels, brakes, extra weights in the boot), and yes, it's mainly his own work.

Where did he get those wing mirrors from Ive been looking for them everywhere, where can I purchase a set from?

Cheers,

you can't. You need to get them done yourself. there are a bunch of companies that will do it, but none will guarantee the finish for any length of time.

1.8T in an A2 will be fast, but think the engine is to heavy for the car. Have done this conversion to a polo 6N2.

I am going down the route of building a 1.6 bottom end with 1.4 head then supercharge it.

I've just noticed the drop-down service flap on the front of the bonnet in the attached photos. The flap is colour-matched to the bonnet and the Audi rings emblem seems to be flush. That's exactly the effect that I've achieved with my A2! I had seriously thought that my A2 was unique in that respect. Oh well, The badge in my flap DOES illuminate, too, so it is unique in that way.
