So, the diesel undertray is identical in shape and size to the petrol one EXCEPT that it has additional sound deadening - is that correct?
I presume the sound deafening is the little cubes on the inner face.
Petrol undertray are considerably more commonly seen due to the larger number of cars being sadly broken.
1 has anyone swapped from diesel tray to petrol? I can’t imagine it could help reduce noise that much
2. Can’t I just cut and transplant?
Thought and criticism for ignorance welcome!
Ps. Mine is badly split due to a previous owner who appeared to like driving onto kerbs. I’ve epoxied, added stainless reinforcers and fibre glass matting etc but the shape is always going to be damaged and it’s a little sad looking.
