HI My engine management line came on and I had a local garage scan for codes . Got P2108 Throttle actuator control module performance.
The garage replaced the throttle body as sticking, but still have same problem with warning light.
1 is so else causing the problem
2 does anyone have a throttle body for 1.4 tai BHC ENGINE . Garage did not fit audi part
ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED
 
Have the garage done the basic setting of throttle body with vagcom?
Or it could be a residual error if they have not cleared the fault codes before re-scanning.

Try switching ignition off/on three times in quick succession. Worked for me, as obd had stopped reading codes so did above👍
Obviously, would like to know what caused my issue (obd works on another car so not that) however, car is due big service in June so will wait till then.
 
Is there a throttle body on the BHC? There is one on the petrol-engined cars like our AUA but the only thing like that I'm aware of in BHC / AMF is the anti-shudder valve / EGR flap (which admittedly looks similar).

Fault codes

Good morning, Our 1.4tdi 75 has the engine management light on code P2108? our cheap reader seems unable to clear it? the car seems to run fine but obviously something is amiss, what should i be looking for? regards Simon

I guess the "throttle body" on BHC is the ASV you refer to
 
Yeah, this sounds like the classic anti-shudder valve (ASV) tolerance fault in the ECU. There isn’t actually anything wrong with the ASV (erroneously referred to as the throttle body - diesels don’t have a throttle body).

Both myself and Depronman offer a fix for this, which can be done by post.

Aftermarket ASV are troublesome. I have a fix for the ASV issue which will work with the oem one and the aftermarket ones. It basically stops the ecu monitoring the ASV so you do need to monitor it manually. That is if the engine doesn’t stop cleanly then the ASV as failed

It can be done by post but you will be without the car for a week may be two why the ecu is in the post both ways
