Erratic/Rough Idle

Hello,

I'm a new owner and new user on this site.

I have tried to search the site for the answers I am looking for, but I need some help.

I have an Audi A2 1.4 Petrol.

It is suffering from a rough/erratic idle.

Two weeks back the CEL light came on and then went off on it's own accord a couple of days later.

No problems for about a week, then it came on again - this time, I read the code and it was P0106 - manifold absolute pressure. - I turned the CEL light off.

There was no problems running the car until yesterday, it is now suffering from an erratic idle and seems to drive ok when going through the gears.


I have tried to look for the MAP sensor, and think I have found it in the engine bay, but I would like to know for certain where it exists - I am planning to change it.


Could you tell me where it is in the engine bay please?

Hi,

I'm not sure it is the throttle body, power seems to be ok once you get going, it's just the idle that sees a problem... I'll be taking it to a garage tomorrow, lets see what happens.
