I have a couple of button illumination problems on my late 2000 A2 when the lights are switched on.. any thoughts/advice on the likely causes of below would be much appreciated.
i. permanent problem - No illumination of the button text on the Symphony I head unit. The LCD display works fine, as do the indicator (on/off) buttons on the applicable switches, but the actual text remains invisible at night.
ii. intermittent issue - The button illumination for the climate panel has, a handful of times, gone dark without warning, and upon resumption, the set temperature will reset to 22 degC regardless of the prior setting. This problem hasn't happened lately and I haven't noted a specific cause and effect.
CCCU (Q revision) may be on the way out, or something else entirely! Any ideas?
