Well – what a difference a new front anti-roll bar and bushes make.
My car was still on the old style anti-roll bar, and after an advisory at MOT I thought it was about time I did something about it.
For the past few months my car was very “nervous” when driving over un-even road surfaces…..It seemed like even an empty crisp packet would have the front suspension quivering.
So, I booked the work in at A2 Cars, Milton Keynes (Hotstuff (Tony) on here) for the work to be carried out as Tony has great workshop facilities.
The work was carried out exactly as you’d expect from a 1st class mechanic (and 1st class person in general I might add), using all genuine VAG parts and new nuts and bolts on everything that required them.
My car now feels stable, planted and firm – almost feels like a different car.
I had started to think the issue was FSD or spring related, but obviously it was all down to an old, worn-out front arb and bushes.
So – a Big Thank You to Tony for the work – I’d recommend his work to anyone for anything A2 related
