A2 Folks
Some young kid bashed into the little A2 a couple of days ago, made a hell of a noise on impact though on first glance only the bumper appears slightly damaged.
On closer inspection the service flap doesn't line up with the latch so won't quite close. With the bonnet off I can now see the intercooler shroud is cracked as the front cross member (behind the bumper) is folded in / creased towards the intercooler. My first thoughts are insurance are likely to write off the poor wee thing. I;ve just spent a heap on rear brakes and getting it running in fine fettle with new thermostat, temp sensor, new wheels, fully valeted, new door latch etc. etc.
I guess the cross member is a crumple zone so designed to do that so depends if the chassis legs are all good then it could still be viable to keep but depends on insurance decision I suppose. Ah b****r :/
