Hi Guys,

I have had issues over the years with blown lights and internal main light switch not working properly, which i have either replace or fixed myself. I'm not sure i have had this issue where the bulb has gone out but does not show on DIS as showing faulty. When i tried to remove the main light bulb from inside the headlamp when i was testing it came back on. If it was a faulty bulb surely it would show as a warning on DIS? is there anything else to check or could it be a faulty switch dial inside the car?

Cheers

Not 100% sure, but I believe that only the headlight on one side are monitored.
As the headlights are separately fused, the logic is they will not both fail at the same time, so you'll always have one side.
A failed bulb will often illuminate when moved, as the broken filament ends touch, and close the circuit. Recognised brands last much longer than no name items.
