Fuel filler cap opening.

Just picked up my wifes A2.

I am *sure* the filler cap opens on its own

I 'could' be wrong here but the two times I got out of the car it was open (as if I had pressed the open button).

I need to do more tests but I am sure it maybe possessed :)

Oh, and I noticed it pulls slightly to the left on straights - I have looked on here and it seems a characteristic of the car and its wheelbase/config. All tyre pressures checked.

All A2s pull slightly to the left, some even go against camber, but you're right, it is a characteristic of the model and can't be easily dialled out.

The fuel flap is easily released by ones backside when getting out of the car.

I'm not suggesting that you have a huge one - mine's not big, but I manage to catch the release button on mine on a regular basis.

Cheers,

Mike

I'll check for that ;)

The pull to the left, how do I work out if it is a 'normal' amount?

Any tests/checks/things to look for?
Try and find a stretch of road that is straight, but has an adverse camber. If it still pulls to the left, get the alignment and tracking checked out, but don't trust a Kwik Fit or similar, get a good independant specialist to do the work. It'd be worth a trip to Irlam for you to Awesome - they have the proper kit and knowledge. So does Stealth, but they're a lot further.

Cheers,

Mike

Many thanks Mike, we'll go to Irlam. Expensive job?
