Information fuel pump

hi, can I replace my leaking pump with this one, my car is a A2 1.4 tdi ?, 2008 SKODA SUPERB 1.9 TDI BRAKE VACUUM PUMP FUEL PUMP (038 145 209K) ? and will it cure the leak problem's thanks for any help.
 
Sorry I don't know the answers but you could check the parts catalogue link I provided in a previous post on the gaskets and see which pumps are listed for the A2.
My logic would suggest the pump off a 4 cyl engine may have too much flow capacity for a 3 cyl engine.

Hi in a previous thread a member bought this pump if their new gasket didn't fit, I searched the part number and this pump came up so was hoping it would, and rather than grind the pump bolts down would it be ok just to add Spring washers ?
 
found this information for the pump (038 145 209K) it should fit - thanks for the help, so need to sort it as I make a 60 mile round trip to work m56 a49, scared it will catch fire

The info below is to the best of my knowledge but may not be complete...

The fuel pumps on the A2 were made by Bosch and LUK.
The Bosch variant is a bit fatter and therefore will not fit A2 TDIs with engine code BHC or ATL due to the positioning of the electronic anti-shudder valve. The LUK variant will fit all 1.4 TDIs (engine codes AMF, BHC and ATL). So, if you have engine code AMF, you can use either. The gaskets for the Bosch and LUK pumps are different.
I don't know anything about the Pierburg pumps other than that they don't argue with the electronic anti-shudder valve and can therefore be fitted to all engine codes. I don't know whether they were also fitted at factory.

I do not know about the compatibility of the fuel pumps between the 1.9 TDI and 1.4 TDI, but my AMF engine has been running with the fuel pump from a 1.9 TDI for the last 40,000 miles and I've had no issues.
