Funny noise between 1.5k-2.0k revs

Firstly sorry this is my first post, and I am asking for help :rolleyes:

I have a 53 plate 1.4 Tdi SE with 28k miles on the clock, which I have owned for about 3 weeks :D

The problem I am having is that I am getting a rattling noise which seems to change with engine speed :( . It sounds to me like the kind of noise you get when an exhaust rattles against the chassis.

I would be surprised if a car with so few miles would have a problem with the zorst :confused:

Has anyone else had similar noises? Any suggestions?
 
Hi dansky, Welcome to the A2oc

Fiona (wonder if she has had her photo taken without the catapult yet?) had a similar problem which I think started as a banging exhaust type noise and progressed to an engine falling out type noise. It was intermittent and took a long while for the dealer to diagnose as a broken front engine mount. Maybe worth checking if your rattle gets progressively worse.
