I wasn’t sure whether to post this or not, but in the end I have decided why not.
You may recall my first thread, back in November, which mentioned that I traded in my 3 door Astra 2.2, for the more practical 4 door A2, in light of future plans to start a family.
Well, it looks like I am going to test the theory of the A2’s family carrying capabilities sooner than I thought. My wife had her twelve week scan last Wednesday and is expecting our first child in July. [Yippeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ].
My wife and I are both delighted with our news and I very much look forward to those trips to the zoo [etc…], when the child is born. [Any excuse to drive the A2!].
We have my wife’s Meriva for long summer breaks away, but don’t envisage the storage capacity of the A2 to be problematic for the more mundane daily trips out. [I will probably have to remove the false floor though and possibly ditch the space saver spare for the foam puncture repair can]. Although I hope to never have to test them out, the safety features of the car and the ‘sideguard’ air bags in mine, mean that I will feel very safe with my little one in the back of the A2.
A new baby and an A2 owner; can life get any better?
Regards,
Darren [Soon to be proud father!]
