Garage Recommendation - IGS Eastleigh, Hampshire

With any new (to me!) vehicle I acquire, one of the first things I do is to treat it to a service. A quick mooch on t'interweb gave me the details for IGS (VAG specialists inc. diesel remapping etc.) in Eastleigh where the car was booked in for yesterday.

Unfortunately on the way there the engine management light came on so I asked them to add that to the job list. Quickly diagnosed as a faulty MAP sensor - this can be a major issue to diagnose and has in the past caused me headaches on other cars. Jim, the owner was a nice chap who actually got back to me on the phone when he said he wold. Not much to ask to expect you'd think but not always my experience with garages.

Sensor replaced and serviced including sorting out the claim for the sensor with the warranty company (car bought last week from a trader!).

Reasonable price - not the cheapest around but I believe in the old maxim of 'you get what you pay for'. Whatsmore they offered to lock it up in their workshop overnight to pick up today.

Oh and there were some tasty motors in too. Old-skool slammed VW splittie camper, AMG 6.3 Merc black series...

They get my vote.

Edit: There was a Z cars Mini complete with Suzuki bike engine (?GSXR 1300), adjustable suspension and delicious ally oil/fuel tanks when I picked up the ADos today.

hi hoona6
sorry to hear of your car problem.
hopefully IGS have sorted it.
I have had both my A2's serviced there plus a cambelt, 2 door check straps and a couple of other bits and pieces.
cheaper than audi and they seem to know what they are doing.
mind you im no expert!
anyway hope you like your new car.
