Gearbox

Hello all

I have had my AS 1.4TDI for two years. I didn't realise that the gearbox was really stiff until i had an A2 loan car while mine was serviced. When i took it up with the dealer they were good and over the next year have replaced gearbox oil, two gears, some linkages, readjusted 3 times. It's great for a couple of months then i struggle to engage 1st from 3rd at junctions. Often find myself having to double de clutch to get into gear and it makes no difference if the gearbox is hot or cold as it's very random.

I am now fed up and wondered if anyone else has experienced this kind of trouble and has a solution?

The dealer has always been superb every time !!!!!!!

We had ours replaced as there was no drive through it (warrenty claim), ours feels so much better with the new box.

Ask them to change the gearbox if its still under warrenty.
