Hello All

My 2001 Y reg TDiSE started to judder under accelleration.

I took it into my local independant & they say that the one of drive shafts has broken up and is very loose at the gear box end, & it will probably be best to get a replacement gearbox (ouch!!!)

Can anyone suggest where the best place might be to look for one?

Have a word with sojah as he may be buying an engine from someone and it might have a gearbox available from it.

Trouble with getting one from Sojah is that he's getting a petrol engine and the petrol gearboxes are very different from the diesels.

A specialist may well be able to rebuild your box and save money over the buying and fitting of a second hand one (which may be on the brink of failure, like your present one!).
