Harsh ride

Sorry Dal,

the phone screen is not big enough for me (I need a 55" to be able to see the smaller letters properly.)

Am I forgiven?

... and I'll update this while I'm here: the B8s are now on and have been for a month. Probably 2-300km covered since then, so things may still change.
Empty, the ride is now really rather good. Gone is the crashiness over lumps and bumps. It's stiff, still mildly compliant and flexible in a way the FSDs were not showing towards the end of their lives. Personally, using Eibach springs, I find the level of give about the same as a standard setup (!!), but memory is a strange thing.
I've also added the Rear ARB, which has transformed the handling.
Currently running 195/50R15s on 7J wheels, I have minimal squidge from the tyres (but still a tick more than from 205/40R17s) and the whole thing hangs together really nicely.
Yesterday, I took a bunch of stuff to the tip. Around 1m3 wood, mainly old 60's blockboard. That's quite heavy, a good 200kg or so, so the car was reasonably loaded. The ride got a little stiffer, but that was it, which is far better than I was expecting. I was expecting bumpstop city, to be honest, and got none of it.

The car now sits around 5mm lower than it did with FSDs, so hub centre to wing is around 325mm at the front and 320 at the rear. I'll have that re-measured as part of the MoT here in January (because I have to!). It may well sink some more, but it now sits correctly on the springs.

Strongly recommended. For all others than the 1.4 petrol, use the Eibach 6Y Fabia springs and B8s.
